The RSSCSE Teachers’ Day

The RSSCSE Teachers’ Day, part of the RSSCSE Statistical Education Week took place on the 17 November 2009 at the University of Plymouth.  The workshops on the day were aimed at improving Statistical Education in primary, secondary and further education.

The cross curriculum workshops covered topics including: 

• CensusAtSchool Developments;
• Development of Data Visualisation Methods;
• RowingAtSchool, a new project that links fitness with data handling;
• Use of the Autograph software;
• Teaching and Learning Risk in Schools;
• Ecological Footprints;
• The new Project and Extended Project for AS and A2 students;
• Information on opportunities for professional development.
